SAVE VS SPLURGE : RED LIPSTICK

You can never go wrong with RED LIPSTICKS! A red lipstick can spice up your plain-white-shirt-jeans-sneakers-outfit! Pair it up with your LITTLE BLACK DRESS and your ready to go! Every woman should have RED LIPSTICKS on their make-up bags!

Since RED LIPSTICKS are very famous and if not everybody, most women wear it, there are tons of shades of RED LIP COLOR offered in the market today. Some are cheap, some are not-so expensive, and some are way too expensive. Here in the Philippines, we find MAC expensive. 1000pesos for just a tube of lipstick?? Hell expensive. . With just a piece of lipstick in Mac, we can pay for our grocery bills that would last a week! Hahaha....But there are many MAC DUPES available. One of which is the EVER BILENA MATTE LIPSTICK IN LOVE THAT RED.

So are we gonna SAVE or SPLURGE? Let's find out.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo has that beautiful deep red which is very pigmented, with just one swipe you can have that deep red on your lips. It is also very easy to apply. It won't settle into fine lines. It can be drying to your lips after a couple of hours but to compensate that apply a lipbalm prior to the lipstick. Staying power is also great! Without drinking and eating this lasted me for 4 hours. Wow. :)

Ever Bilena Matte lipstick in Love That Red is lighter in color than the Ruby Woo. It has that pink undertone. Love that red is also not that MATTE when compared to Ruby woo. It is actually has gloss in it, and when you swatched in your hands it will actually attract light. I think LOVE THAT RED IS SEMI MATTE. Staying power is not that great. It lasted me for 2 hours without drinking and eating. It instantly fades away after eating. Uh-oh..:( But the great thing about this is the COLOR! I am totally in love with the shade! It may not be the BEST DUPE FOR MA RUBY WOO, but they have, atleast, resemblance in color!

So the verdict?

I'm gonna SAVE. For me, LOVE THAT RED gives you that look MAC RUBY WOO does. It instantly brightens my face, and there is only a little difference in color.. Love that read also gives you decent staying power, though not as good as Ruby Woo but still it's a steal!
