Definitely not a budget-friendly one, but given its long list of good benefits to our skin plus the quality of the pigment itself, I think we're just paying it right. 1490Php for an eyeshadow duo, that is astoundingly expensive, way more expensive than Mac but for those people who are very reactive with chemicals that are used in conventional eyeshadows, this will be their best shot. This is the first time I heard of an eyeshadow with skin care benefits. Vmv had included some magical potions to keep our eyelids fresh and healthy. So we're not just plainly adding pigment to it, we're also feeding it good nutrients to further nourish and enhance our eyelids. 

24 duo shades to choose from, I got the shade in Chalet. The lighter one is a white shimmering pearl while the other one is kinda unique in color. The darker shadow is more of a burgundy shade but definitely has deep chocolate brown and slight purplish sprinkle to it. It has some shimmers but barely noticeable.

Blends easily, highly pigmented, long-wearing and not too powdery, this is definitely a great buy. But there are also tons of choices of eyeshadows that works perfectly fine as Two True Hues that are way cheaper. So it depends whether you like some added skin care benefits to your eyeshadows or you may not need any of it and a plain eyeshadow would do just fine. :)

Lisa Eldridge had highly influenced me of my makeup philosophy. One of which is highlighter. I once hated highlighters because I thought they would  be too shimmery for my taste, and  would just gave me that oily sheen. Not until Ive been watching videos of her, she never skips on putting her highlighter ( her favorite one is Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector; which is out of my reach). It does gave her that nice healthy glow, so natural looking sheen as if it comes from the inside.

From The very first time I swatched its tester, I knew I have to buy it. 

The first and the only highlighter that I own, I believe this does a pretty good job. I actually really  like it Been using this everyday. It blends smoothly, best to use a brush for an even seemless finish.

Its not too liquidy nor creamy, its something in between. Comes with a dipping applicator which eases the application process. 

It looks pink on tube and when unblended but when already spread over and evenly applied, it disappears into the skin and you wouldnt even notice its there. But when subjected into light, it would suddenly give you that magical not too-shimmering glow. It is really great in pictures. 

For me, I like to put this only on the top of my cheekbones. I find this rather too unnatural when put on the forehead or in my nose, it gave me that overly shimmered look which I really don't like. 

Longevity is beyond average, it lasted the whole day which is ahhhhmaaazing! 

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. This gave me the opportunity of exploring the world of highlighters! I am very impressed with its performance and I would gladly try more highlighters especially from the prominent top rated Benefit's  High Beam!!

I honestly can go out without my foundation or concealer on but never my eyebrows undone (and ofcourse lipstick!!) My face right now is not that horrible compared to  last few months' nightmare (thanks to Vmv) when my face was full of pimples and some awful dark spots. When I'm feeling lazy, I'll just grab my eyebrow mascara and I'm good to go.  But for days when I want a full makeup on, I always start outlining my brows with a pencil then brush the mascara over.

I have used Etude House Color My brows for years, it is actually a  great product but it is not long-wearing. I keep on coming back to it given the reasonable price. 

During the days when I really feel very very lazy, this is my bestfriend! My HG Eyebrow Mascara!! 

Fast and easy application, you'll just brush it over and you'll be able to get that well defined brows in no time!  It is highly pigmented,  a light hand would do its job perfectly. Color payoff is great. Chestnut brown without any weird-looking shimmers on it. 

But what made me really love this even more is its longevity. Even when I'm sweating, even when the weather is so unforgiving, it is still intact. It is not fading nor melting, the stain is in place.  It does not come off with just plain water so have to remove it by cream or oil. 

The only downside for this is you really have to be careful on putting it so, because you dont want to have that betty la fea brows, do you? (HAHA) The first time I used it, I put a hell lot of product, so yeah you really have to be careful and make sure that the brush has just the right amount of product. Brush it at the back of your hand to get rid of excess product.

A red lipstick does not only come with a single color, there are myriads of variations of tones and colors from orangeys to purplish, bluish and true reds. I personally like the blue toned ones since the color pops out on my NC 30 Skin. 

 I got this from my beloved cousin. Its her birthday gift to me ( Lucky me haha) 

I am honestly afraid of using liquid lipsticks because for me they have sheer-medium coverage and would easily be rubbed off on lips. Well, not with Lip Lacquer over here. 

It is crazily heavily pigmented, its like a paint! Seriously, even when swatched lightly, the color is so rich and vibrant as what you can see on the swatch above.  I had used a single swipe with just a light hand to that! Wow! 

This is a blue toned dark red with tiny glitters but is not noticeable once applied on lips. It would not look flat on lips because it has that microglitters packed on it. Aside from its crazily hardcore pigmentation, this would literally last long!! This gives me that beautiful stain, even after eating it stays on place. Does not smudge nor does it bleed. Amaaaaazing product! 

I do love that it doesnt dries up my lips. Its quiet heavy on lips, I even feel I've got a lip plumper on when I'm using this. It also creates a beautiful stain on my lips which is really difficult to remove. It has an amazing staying power, I am so amazed with its staying power. 

Careline Oil Control Blush-On

A healthy glow is all I need, especially during those unforgiving days and nights where I lack sleep and rest. I haven't been sleeping lately and my face look so dull, gloomy and very tired.  I looked to my makeupstash and found this, MY GOOD old Favorite Blush-on. Havent used this for not so long because I was mesmerized by ELF STA. Lucia's Blush. 

Careline offers wide variety of products that are affordable and trendy. Among all the products they have, their blushes are my super favorites! I didn't liked their lipsticks that much same with their complexion products. But their blushes are superb! 

FACE WITHOUT THE BLUSH ON: 

WITH THE BLUSH ON (and lipstick) 

My favorite shade and the one I've been using everyday is Rosy Cheek. I'm an NC30 and this just suits my skintone perfectly. Rosy Cheek is a reddish pink powder that has a matte finish. I like the red hints it has but not too overpowering that when you wear it you would looked like a clown. It is very easy to blend,  a little goes a long way since it is very pigmented. I apply this using my ELF Powder Brush and it just gives me that blooming look that I want. 

This is suitable for Filipina Skin tones. 

But the only downside with this is it is not longwearing. After an hour or two I can already see the color is fading and oil is starting to build up. However, I really dont mind touching up and applying another layer. Its just that I really like the color and its texture. 

Revlon Colorstay Makeup For Combination/Oily Skin

I could never express how I am deeply in love with Revlon Colorstay Makeup For Combination/Oily Skin. Not only because it is affordable, quality-wise can be comparable with Estee Lauder's which is thrice the price of Revlon's. 

You might have read tons of beauty bloggers loving it and raving it, even some prominent professional makeup artists on youtube like Lisa Eldridge and Pixi woo sisters even recommend this product. 

My skin's quiet acidic so I had chosen a shade lighter than my skin tone which is Natural Beige. Natural Beige has pink undertones; Golden Beige has Yellow tones but is really dark on me. 

Revlon Colorstay Makeup has liquid consistency that has a low viscosity that explains why it is readily poured from the container. 

The major downside for this foundation is its packaging, the first time I used it I poured a hell lot of product onto the back of my hand blaming to its lack of pump or nozzle to control the amount of product to be dispensed. You really have to be very careful or you might end up wasting almost a quarter of the liquid! Plus the opening is too big!

 Once applied, you would be amazed on how much coverage it gives but not too intense or should I say not too made-up. It just blends smoothly without giving you that cakey- annoying look. I still do my concealing after. It dries quickly so you better be fast on blending. For me, I like to use my fingers in blending, I find it the  best way to do it since I kinda feel the heat of my fingers help in warming the foundation for better blending and evening on the skin. 

In contrast to its claims, the finish on me is not matte, but rather semi-matte. It's not dewy but also not matte, its just in between. The longevity of this product is superb. Even when I'm sweating hard due to the intense heat, my foundation is not melting. Some of my  foundations do. I also find it hard to remove, I always use my oil-based Makeup remover to remove it. 

It has some cosmetic scent to it,probably some kind of the scent my mom's makeup have way back then. Some good old cosmetics. 

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks

My makeup routine would never be complete without a splash of color into my lips. A fun way to spice up your look or to give your look some varieties and kicks instantly is to change your lip colors then and now. I love lipsticks because it can stand on its own. Lipcolors make me look more alive and more vabriant looking. 

In search of lipsticks that delivers yet not too heavy on the pocket, I came across Wet N Wild Megalast Lipcolors. I got 5 variieties of shades ranging from pinks, plums and reddish brown. It is quiet sold at higher price here in the Philippines compared to that in US which is just 2.99$. Priced at 148Php, I think these lipsticks does a really good job. 

These have semi-matte finish, some shades can be a little chalky and can be drying on lips. The reason why I fell on love with it instantly is the pigmentation. I personally prefer opaque lipsticks than sheer ones. I like to use this lipsticks together with a lipbalm underneath because it makes my lips a little bit dry. Hence the lipbalm solve the problem. They are also long lasting, it can last up to 4 hours and even after I ate it stays on place on my lips.

Overall, these are superb considering its price but doesn't level up as much as Mac Lipsticks do. I mean, for 148php dont expect its quality to be that perfect. It has flaws but  can be solved if you just want to. I recommend this to girls who are in a tight budget who loves colors on their lips! 

Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel

Part of my skin care regimen is to moisturize twice a day. I've got different moisturizers for the morning and for the evening. My skin is oily as of the moment, I used to have dry skin but suddenly the nightmare came off me one day and oil  just begin  oozing out of my face!!! 

Even though I've got oily skin, I should never skip moisturizers. I think it's my skin's way of telling me it needs some hydration. 

As for the morning moisturizer, I used the Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel. I love to use it especially going out since it would dry up fast, and would just melt in my face. It doesn't have any greasiness or oiliness left on my face after applying that's why its perfect just before going out especially I live in a very humid place.

The packaging is a blue glass jar with plastic cover inside. I love the way it is colored with blue to emphasize that the moisturizer is water based. It is actually water based.  

My day would not be complete if I wont be able to put this on my face. It gives me that cooling effect when applied and smells good too! Just the right amount of scent, it's not too overpowering or something. 

The consistency is white thin liquidy texture that spreads easily and vanishes onto the skin. There is no whitecast owing to it's lack of sun protecting abilities. 

After 3 weeks of continued use, I had noticed some changes on my skin. It is a lot healthier compared to my very very dull looking skin before. I am really serious about healthy looking skin! It would really give you that healthy face! My face feels so smooth and so supple! I can even go out now without makeup!

VMV SKINTANGIBLE BBBB CREAM

Before starting out putting on your foundation, it is best to prep up your skin first so that your foundation would eventually glide on smoothly on the surface of the skin and would help on making thw foundation last longer. 

Product claims :

I have this love-hate relationship with Skintangible "BBBB Cream" ever since I had it. Maybe because I used it as a foundation rather than just a prepping up cream/primer or something. I was expecting some light coverage but was totally disappointed when I started to put it on, the color just vanishes on skin without even slightest coverage in it. I think I got a little bit too excited that it was indicated on the box " skin refining non makeup". Though the box says it can subtly even out skin tone, I havent experienced any on mine. 

This should not be used to even out the skin tone nor does it do the job. This is for prepping up the skin before foundation, serves as a moisturizer at the same time has a whooping SPF 30! I find this useful when I'm in a hurry especially in the morning I've got no time to put all my skin care regimen, this is my time saver!  

Skintangible is packaged on a clear glass bottle that comes with a pump! Oh how I love packagings with pumps! There is only one shade available,  it does not matter anyway since it would just be blended onto the skin.The consistency is very liquidy when already spread, but initially it is creamier. When applied, it gives you that luminousity, that right amount of glow! 

Overall, I liked this because it's packed with skin care benefits at the same time act as a primer to help my foundation last. I cannot describe it as a tinted moisturizer given that it does not have any color when applied. But it is a great buy for skin care junkies out there! 

VMV ARMADA FACE COVER 30

A girl's bestfriend in protecting her delicate skin from harmful rays of the sun is SUNBLOCK. Philippines is a very hot country, the sun is beaming violently right before our roofs and even when we're inside, rays could get into our homes. 

The sun's unforgiving rays and hotness would not just make you ugly (due to melanin) but can also cause skin cancer. So we're not just taking care of our beautiful faces but of our health also. 

But some women (like me) opt not to use sunscreens since they have this fear of getting pimples due to clogging of pores, some don't want to have that white cast on face. 

I have tried neutrogena ultra Sheer, its claims are so promising that it made my buy it but unfortunately turns out to be very disappointing. 

I've researched some top performing sunscreens, and one of which is the VMV Armada line. It's expensive but totally worth it!

If you hate wearing sunscreens because of that greasiness it gives, then you would love Armada Face Cover. Dries up like magic! No greasy traces at all. When I'm out I reapply every 2 hours. This can be worn over makeup.

Overall, this is a must-have! Though a bit pricey but your money would not be put into waste. This is a great product! I highly recommend it. 

ELF Contouring Blush And Bronzer

Glowing cheeks is the secret of a sparkling youthful glow. And your blusher would be the best bud you could lean on. Blushes are very important for me, because it can instantly transform my dull, plain looking face into something vibrant and happy looking!! It comes ib different formulations: powders, creams, mousse, gels, tints, etc. I like to use powders the most, because they are easily applied and blended. If you want to have a natural finish, go for cream blushes. 

ELF Contouring Blush and bronzer is one of the products of ELF that is surely a HIT!!! Well, we all know ELF is a HIT or MISS brand. Some might not even agree with me but I certainly love the blush! I have read some reviews comparing it to Nars orgasm, but cant really attest to thay since I dont have Nars Orgasm. The Duo Blush and Bronzer comes in a sleek black plastic compact that has a medium-sized mirror inside. The left pan is the blush, and on the right side is the bronzer

First, lets talk about the blush. The formulation is powder, it can be a little chalky. The color is a peachy reddish tone with tiny gold glitters on it. I love the fact that ELF had included that glitters since that gives my skin that sparkling healthy glow. 

Now lets move on to the bronzer. Samr with the blush, the fornulation is powder. It does not come with any sparkling glitters on it. It actually is matte. It is also very pigmented, so you'll be needing a little amount when contouring. 

Overall, this is a great buy. Perfect for newbies on makeup who are just exploring the wonders of applying colors and tones. For 249php, the quality is fantastic plus it is also long wearing. So I hope you could try it also! 

Let your skin breathe: Loreal Lucent Magique Foundation

Foundations are indispensable tool a woman should have. I dont believe that everyone has a perfect face that won't be needing foundation, even supermodels do. Foundations are used to even out the discolorations and redness on the face, next to covering minor imperfections. Some make mistakes by using foundations to lighten the color of their faces. Ehheem 

Number one rule on foundations is to choose the color that matches perfectly with your skintone. Next is the formulation. This is not universal, some skin types are better with liquid foundations, some opt to use creams or powders and so on. It is a matter of personal preferrence and what your skin would be needing. 

Loreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation is one of the foundations that captured my heart. I'm the type of person thar wears foundation seldomly since I've been trusting my concealer to do the job. I also find some foundations too heavy on face, and would looked too made-up. Just wanted that natural finish that's why I prefer concealer. 

Loreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation is great for people like me who doesnt want to have that heavy feeling on face but at the same would deliver that good amount coverage enough to even out everything that would provide flawless finishIt is packaged on a clear glass bottle that comes with a pink mettalic colored-pump. I love the pump since it is hygienic and I have the control on how much product would I want to dispense. 

The consistency is of liquid type. It blends easily without fuss and would eventually dry fast. Once it is dried, the texture is super smooth and would give you that dewy healthy looking finish. Coverage is light to medium. The coverage is buildable so you can add on more if youre not contented with just a single layer. The only downside a have for this is that it made my skin break out. So sad i really love its natural finish!! 

Overall, I liked this better than my Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream since it is too heavy on face. Loreal Lucent Magique is very lightweight, my skin loves it since it feels not suffocated. My skin can breathe while enjoying it's magic of perfecting complexion! 

NICHIDO HIGH DEFINITION LIPSTICK

Hi everyone! 

I would really prefer pink lipsticks over the red ones. Pinks are cute and so girly and pretty. I like to wear a red lipstick on days when I feel so sexy, sophisticated and naughty. Haha

Anyway, today's review would be a PINK lipstick from Nichido's HD LIPSTICK line in PRETTY TULIP. I fell in love with this the first I saw time I saw it. I would describe the color as a bright neonpink with some little hints of fuchsia. It is very pigmented and completely opaque.  

The finish is semi-matte. I have dry lips but I haven't experienced any sucking out of moisture or some sort of cracking of lips. I just love this so much! This is one of my favorite lipsticks among the sea of lipsticks I have. It also lasts pretty long. The only downside for me is its strong scent. It smells like some sort of old makeup stuffs way back then when I was a child. It's kinda nostalgic though. Haha

Overall, this is a great buy. Priced less than 200 Pesos, it's quality is very impressive.
